Exciting news for fans of the heartwarming Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso—Season 4 is officially on the way! Jason Sudeikis, the star and producer of the show, shared this thrilling update during a recent appearance on the New Heights sports podcast hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In a snippet from the podcast's latest episode, Sudeikis confirmed that the team is currently writing the new season, stating, "That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team."

This announcement marks the first solid update on the continuation of the series in nearly two years, much to the relief of fans who have been eagerly awaiting more of the feel-good soccer drama. While details such as whether Season 4 will be the final installment or its setting remain under wraps, Sudeikis humorously dodged Travis Kelce's questions about Ted's potential return to the U.S., saying, "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know."

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Juno Temple to reprise her role as Keeley, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Sources indicate that filming for the first episode of Season 4 will commence in Kansas City before moving to the UK, with production set to start in July.

Apple TV+ is already working to reignite interest in Ted Lasso. Although no specific release date or plot details have been revealed, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its long hiatus with a post saying, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?"
