Tears of Themis Launches "Ballad of the Dunes" with Exclusive MR Cards

HoYoverse's Tears of Themis unveils "Ballad of the Dunes," a captivating collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event immerses players in the historical and romantic mysteries of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the Gobi Desert's edge.

Ballad of the Dunes: A Fusion of Mystery and History

This event seamlessly blends detective work with the rich cultural heritage of the Silk Road. Players will unravel intriguing mysteries steeped in ancient history and captivating romance.

The highlight is the introduction of four new MR cards, each featuring one of the main characters – Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius – inspired by Dunhuang's cultural elements. Think flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa. The art style evokes the ancient performers depicted in the Mogao Caves, reflecting the Silk Road's vibrant artistic and cultural fusion during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD).

Each card boasts a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation," all complemented by Private Messages offering a deeper dive into this thousand-year-old journey.

Event Rewards: A Treasure Trove of Prizes

From February 13th to 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and various rewards by completing event tasks. The core gameplay involves a cell-flipping board game that unveils prizes.

The ultimate reward? The choice of one of the four new Ballad of the Dunes MR cards per round. Flipping 100 cells unlocks the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
