Stellar Blade: PC Version on the Horizon?
Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, is considering a PC port of the action-adventure title. While currently a PS5 exclusive due to its partnership with Sony, the game's strong sales and positive critical reception (including a top US sales spot in its launch month and an 82 average OpenCritic rating) have fueled interest in expanding its reach.
GameMeca reports that Shift Up's CEO, Kim Hyung-Tae, confirmed the consideration of a PC port during an IPO press conference, although precise timing remains uncertain due to contractual obligations with Sony. CFO Jae-woo Ahn noted the shifting consumer base towards PC for AAA titles and expressed optimism that a PC release would significantly boost the IP's value.
A PC Port Seems Likely
Shift Up's previous financial report already hinted at both a sequel and a PC port for Stellar Blade. The recent statements from its leadership further solidify this possibility, especially considering Sony's growing trend of bringing its exclusives to PC (as evidenced by the upcoming PC release of God of War: Ragnarok).
While the PC port is under consideration, Shift Up continues to refine the PS5 experience. A recent update unfortunately introduced some graphical glitches, but the developer is actively working on a solution.
