Project 007: James Bond Origin Story Game Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

Attention, GoldenEye enthusiasts! It's time to celebrate as IO Interactive has just announced that their highly anticipated James Bond game, Project 007, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to the IO Interactive’s website, this game will introduce players to an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, you'll step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent and embark on a journey to earn your 00 status. This game marks the first-ever James Bond origin story, providing fans with a fresh perspective on the legendary spy.

Back in October, Hakan Abrak, the head of IO Interactive, shared insights with IGN about crafting this new origin story. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
