Polytopia

Midjiwan has released a major update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely revamping the Aquarion Tribe. This update overhauls the original special tribe, first introduced in 2017.

The Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious or fully aquatic. This allows them to traverse water effortlessly, although they move more slowly on land. The update introduces flooded terrain, enabling land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

Buildings are now also aquatic, constructible on water. Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, ideal bases for water-based warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops are permanently added to the Aquarion's resources, functioning similarly to land-based crops.

New Aquatic Creatures

Prepare for new marine adversaries! Sharks provide surprise attacks, Puffers offer long-range bombardments, and Jellies unleash electric shocks on enemies. Returning favorites include the Trident and Crab units; Crabs now flood the tiles they cross, synergizing well with the mermaid units. See them in action!

Midjiwan has revitalized the Aquarion Tribe. Remember, Lost Cities appear at level 3 with pre-built walls.
