Pokémon GO's Max Out Season: Dynamax Pokémon Arrive!

Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of the upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new feature will be accompanied by a host of in-game events and rewards.

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season runs from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon action!

Dynamax Pokémon Debut:

The season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax versions of:

• Bulbasaur
• Charmander
• Squirtle
• Skwovet
• Wooloo

Catch these Dynamax Pokémon (and their evolutions!) Shiny variants will also appear!

Beyond battling, expect special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards.

Special Research and Max Particles:

A new Seasonal Special Research story will be available from September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. local time to December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time. Complete Max Battle-focused tasks to earn Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more.

Max Particle Bundle and Power Spots:

A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT. These particles are crucial for Dynamax battles.

Rumored Power Spots, key locations for Max Battles and particle collection, may appear next month.

Mega Evolution and Gigantamax Possibilities:

Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve. While Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed, Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon.
