Pokémon Center Hiroshima's Gyarados Plaza is Oddly Not a Water Park
Pokémon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza
Pokémon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close in March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. Simultaneously, a Gyarados-themed playground, the Gyarados Plaza, will debut in March.
New Location for Pokémon Center Hiroshima
The store's new home will be on the second floor of Ekie, the north exit of Hiroshima Station. Currently situated on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, the store, open since June 2015, will undergo this relocation.
Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station
The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" will open March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza within the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Initially, reservations will be required for playground access; details will be posted on the official Minamoa website.
Nationwide "Poke-lun TV" Event
Pokémon Centers across Japan, including Hiroshima (before its closure), will host a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers. From January 17th to February 16th, 2025, fans can receive an exclusive sticker with a password obtained from a December 19th, 2024, "Poke-lun TV" YouTube video.
Select Pokémon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with "Poke-lun TV" hosts. This event excludes Pokémon Stores, online stores, cafés, and Pikachu Sweets.
