Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the specifics.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three global cities in May and June:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person attendees will enjoy unique city-specific features and experiences. Ticket purchase is required for both in-person and online participation.

Expect rare Pokémon encounters not available through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, exclusive merchandise for in-person attendees, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges. The event will largely mirror the successful format of previous years.

Two More Pokémon GO Events in January 2025

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over:

This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Key features include:

• Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
• Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatching from 12 km Eggs.
• Appearances of Shadow Snivy, Tepig, and other Shadow Pokémon.
• Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk via snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh:

Taking place on January 19th, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), this event allows trainers to capture Shadow Ho-Oh in Five-Star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket grants:

• Eight additional Raid Passes.
• Increased chance of Rare Candy XL.
• 2x Stardust.
• 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
• Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
• Opportunity to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire (using a Charged TM).
