The long-awaited details about the Nintendo Switch 2 have finally been revealed, and they exceed many expectations. During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, the company showcased the system's impressive capabilities, including support for up to 120fps and 4K resolution when docked.
In a detailed segment, Nintendo unveiled several key features of the Switch 2. The new console boasts a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to its predecessor, yet maintains the same thickness of 13.9mm. The screen supports 1080p resolution in handheld mode at up to 120fps and is an LCD screen with HDR capabilities. When docked, it can deliver stunning 4K resolution and HDR visuals.The Joy-Con 2 controllers feature a magnetic connection and a release button on the back for easy detachment. The SL and SR buttons on the sides are larger, enhancing horizontal play, and the left and right sticks are also bigger for improved control. Additionally, the segment confirmed the introduction of mouse control support in the Joy-Con controllers.
The handheld version of the Switch 2 comes equipped with a built-in microphone featuring noise-canceling technology and 3D audio support for compatible games.
