Monster Hunter Wilds Beta 2 Release Date Set
Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced!
Capcom has announced the dates for the highly anticipated second open beta of Monster Hunter: Wilds, scheduled for two weekends in February 2025. Building on the success of the first beta (late 2024), this extended test offers players another opportunity to experience the latest installment in the popular RPG franchise before its official launch on February 28, 2025. Monster Hunter: Wilds promises a massive open-world adventure, exceeding previous titles in scale and ambition, making it one of 2025's most eagerly awaited games.
The first beta introduced players to character creation, narrative sequences, and hunts. This second beta expands on that foundation.
Beta Dates and Times:
- Weekend 1: February 6, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 9, 2025, 6:59 pm PT
- Weekend 2: February 13, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 16, 2025, 6:59 pm PT
Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
What Awaits in the Second Beta:
The second beta will include all content from the first, including character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new challenge awaits with the addition of a Gypceros hunt, a fan-favorite monster returning to the series. Importantly, players can carry over characters created during the initial beta, eliminating the need to recreate hunters.
Addressing feedback from the first beta, Capcom assures players they are actively working to enhance the game's visual quality (textures and lighting) and refine weapon mechanics based on player feedback. This second beta is a crucial step in polishing the game before its release.
With less than two months until launch, this second beta is vital for both Capcom and the fanbase. It provides a valuable opportunity to further refine the experience and heighten anticipation for what promises to be a landmark entry in the Monster Hunter series. Whether a returning veteran or a newcomer, February 2025 is set to be a thrilling month for Monster Hunter enthusiasts.
