Excitement is building for Magic: The Gathering's upcoming set, Aetherdrift, which introduces an exhilarating multiplanar death race across the multiverse. Let's start with the Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature card that encapsulates the essence of the red-white color pairing in Aetherdrift. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, first seen in the 2018 set Battlebond. With a power of 3, it's perfectly suited to crew vehicles on its own. Additionally, its activated ability generates Pilot token creatures, allowing for even more flexible vehicle piloting strategies. If you're drafting a red-white deck for Aetherdrift, the Cloudspire Coordinator could be a key component.

On the other hand, the rare enchantment Count on Luck is a standout card with its straightforward, all-red-pip casting cost. This 3-mana enchantment triggers at the start of your turn, exiling the top card of your library, which you can then play during that turn. Known as "impulse draw," this mechanic provides a steady stream of additional cards for your mono-red deck, as long as you can utilize them immediately. It's a high-risk, high-reward strategy that could turn the tide of the race.

We're also excited to showcase Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended-art variant offers a broader view of the card's artwork by removing the side frames, the First-Place Foils introduce a novel golden shine to Aetherdrift. These exclusive foils are part of a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box, featuring all the set's rares and 10 full-art lands.

Mark your calendars: Aetherdrift will be available both in paper and online starting February 14, with prereleases beginning on February 7. For a deeper dive into the set's mechanics, click here. Get ready to join the race across the multiverse with Aetherdrift!
