HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its immersive gameplay. Developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released on PC and consoles in August 2022, the mobile port is currently in beta testing.

Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?

While some graphical compromises are expected due to mobile hardware limitations, the core gameplay experience, including DLC, is planned for release. THQ Nordic and HandyGames are preparing the mobile launch. A closed beta test has been announced via a tweet, with a sign-up form available on their official X (formerly Twitter) account for interested players.

A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?

Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic hunting, requiring patience and observation as animals behave realistically. Set in expansive open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, players have a 55-square-mile hunting ground to explore.

The game features authentic weaponry, from rifles to bows, and incorporates realistic tracking elements like blood splatter analysis and animal sign interpretation. The in-game ecosystem dynamically responds to player actions; over-hunting in one area will cause animals to relocate.

The game also includes an economic system where harvested meat can be sold to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are featured, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
