Guide to Finishing the Straw Hat Quest in KCD2
Embarking on your journey through *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll find that some quests are locked until you reach Kuttenberg. Once you arrive in this vibrant city, you're free to explore and engage in various quests, including the intriguing "Under the Straw Hat." Here’s a comprehensive guide to completing this quest and its prerequisite, "In Vino Veritas."
How to Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
You have two paths to gather the necessary knowledge:
- Direct Approach: Head straight to Havel and try to impress him with your wine expertise. However, remember that you need to be dressed in fancy clothes and well-groomed to get his attention. When conversing with Havel, select the options "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" to extract the information you need. Return to Casper and share your findings.
- Alternative Route: Retrieve Casper's book from Adleta, study it, and then approach Havel with enhanced wine knowledge. This path might take longer but can be more rewarding in terms of your understanding of wine.
Access the Vineyard
Working at the Vineyard
The incense is located in the wine cellar, accessible through the main building and down the stairs from where you met Jerome. Accessing this area is tricky as it's restricted even to workers; getting caught can lead to punishment. You'll need either a lockpick or to steal the keys from Jerome to enter the cellar.
Inside the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks within it, completing the main objective. For an additional reward, you can also pick up seedlings for Casper. These are found in another room across from the main building entrance. Be quick as this is also a restricted area.
If you choose to complete your work, report to Jerome at the end of the day to receive your payment. Otherwise, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and possibly the seedlings to finish both the "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests.
With these quests completed, you're ready to tackle other side quests like "Master Schindel's Toys" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Enjoy exploring Kuttenberg and beyond!
*Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
