Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth have received updates that fix the controller issue
Patches for Final Fantasy VII Remake are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. This update resolves controller vibration issues stemming from motor malfunctions. The game follows Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER, as he joins Avalanche to thwart Shinra Electric Power Company's plan to destroy the planet.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel continuing the story after the escape from Midgar, receives update 1.080. This update refines the game's atmosphere, enhancing realism and providing a more immersive tactile experience. The PC version launches January 23, 2025. This second installment in the trilogy expands the narrative and emphasizes exploration.
Despite a slow initial sales start in May 2024, Final Fantasy XVI ultimately fell short of projected fiscal year targets. Exact sales figures remain undisclosed. Similarly, Square Enix has not released sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which also underperformed expectations.
The company clarified that it doesn't consider the sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a complete failure. Furthermore, they remain confident that Final Fantasy XVI can still achieve its goals within the 18-month timeframe.
