Elden Ring: Morgott Returns as Fell Omen Invader

Author : Stella Update : Feb 21,2025

Elden Ring's Nightreign DLC unleashes the dreaded Fell Omen bosses upon the Lands Between. Morgott, a notorious antagonist from the main game, makes a particularly noteworthy appearance. His surprise invasions, reminiscent of his original game appearances, are enhanced with new voice lines and moves, creating challenging encounters for players, especially those tackling him with allies.

Beyond surprise invasions, the Fell Omen (essentially a powered-up Morgott) can also serve as a challenging end-of-night boss. Early test players, including the famed "Let Me Solo Her," have already faced this formidable foe, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Morgott's invasion mechanics, particularly his unpredictable locations (elevators, towers, etc.), are lauded as a highlight.

The success of the Fell Omen invasions has sparked speculation about other potential invaders. Suggestions range from the Pursuer (Dark Souls 2) to Bloodborne Hunters, though the latter remains a wishful thought. Intriguingly, some reports suggest a curse mark is left on players killed by the Fell Omen, hinting at deeper, yet-to-be-discovered mechanics.

Despite server issues during the initial network test, player participation was significant, generating considerable excitement. While the full release is set for May 30th, early impressions are overwhelmingly positive.
