"Discover Rosa's Book Location in KCD2"

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side quests can be easy to miss, leading to failure if not completed during the right window. One such quest is "Rosa's Book," which is crucial for those interested in romancing Rosa. To unlock this side quest, you first need to complete "Via Argentum" and then start "Taking French Leave." After resolving the situation with the Ruthard family and Vavak, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, she'll also ask you to retrieve a specific book for her while you're in Maleshov, initiating the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will result in the quest failing, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located along your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is situated in the largest tower. Use the stairs on the side of the building to enter the tower. Inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Wait in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated facing the fireplace. You can quietly approach from behind and knock her out. Collect the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. Rosa's book is also in this room, located to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Picking up the red book will update your quest to return it to Rosa.

While you're in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans is reluctant to use the passageway, you can progress towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Navigate to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to trigger another cutscene, concluding the quest. After the cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
