Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this mobile version offers a fresh take on the classic.

Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single remake. However, they wisely divided the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile and Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version for Nintendo Switch and Steam (releasing later this year). A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

Castle Doombad: Free To Slay lets you unleash your inner evil mastermind. Construct a wicked lair, deploy cunning traps and minions, and thwart heroic do-gooders. It's tower defense, but from the villain's perspective!

The free-to-play game features ads and optional in-app purchases. Enjoy the complete original game with 70 levels, daily challenges, and endless modes. Unlock and upgrade over 30 traps, and collect more than 100 items.

A new cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. Combine these with "Baddie Bonus" perks for strategic advantages.

A challenging new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," adds replayability with randomly generated castle layouts and powerful Nightmares to collect.
