How Camo Challenge Tracking Works in Blacks Ops 6

Author : Nathan Update : Apr 02,2025

Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has just kicked off, bringing with it an exciting new feature that streamlines the progression grind. The Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here's a quick guide to help you understand how it works.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Simplifies Camo Challenge Progress

The latest patch notes for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* introduce the Camo Challenge Tracking system, which is described as follows: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”

This innovative feature enables players to manually select 10 camos to monitor, providing easy access to their progress at any time during gameplay. No more tedious navigation through the main menu to check your status! The tracker also sends notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they're not among the ones you've chosen to track.

How to Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Camo Challenge Tracking Feature

To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. If you're using an Xbox controller, press the Y button, or if you're on PlayStation, press the Triangle button to add the challenge to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress on various camos and calling cards in real-time during *Black Ops 6* matches, rather than waiting until after the game to check your next steps.

Even if you haven't selected specific challenges to track, the game automatically highlights the ones you're closest to completing. This information is always accessible, so you can easily see what you're about to unlock.

You can also view your top tracked or nearly complete camo and calling card challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby, under the Daily Challenge section, which lists all the camos and calling cards that are close to being unlocked.

The Season 2 update makes unlocking special camos more achievable. Previously, you needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, that number has been reduced to five military camos. However, to earn the coveted mastery camos, you'll still need to unlock two special camos.

There's been significant discussion about the vast number of camos available for each weapon and the challenge of tracking progress and achieving headshots and kills. It appears that Treyarch has taken player feedback to heart, introducing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall experience in *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
