Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone Release Season 4 Reloaded Patch Notes
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded update delivers a massive content drop, including new game modes, weapons, and a highly anticipated Zombies update for Modern Warfare 3. This follows the earlier Season 4 update and the recent unveiling of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the Xbox Games Showcase.
Activision's patch notes detail significant changes. Two new weapons – the Reclaimer 18 shotgun and the Sledgehammer melee weapon – join the arsenal, along with JAK Volkh and JAK Gunslinger aftermarket parts. A new Mutation mode removes tactical and lethal equipment from ground loot, replacing it with a DNA-based perk system. Modern Warfare 3 Zombies introduces Unstable Rifts, wave-based combat challenges rewarding cooldown resets on insured weapons and schematics.
The update significantly impacts the meta. The Kar98k receives nerfs to its damage range and bullet velocity, while controller aim assist adjustments are implemented. Conversely, several popular weapons receive buffs, including the FJX Horus, Striker, and Rival-9 SMGs, as well as the MTZ 762, MCW, Holger 556, and MTZ 556 rifles.
Key features of the Season 4 Reloaded update include:
New Maps: Incline (6v6), Das Gross (6v6), Bitvela (6v6), and G3T_H1GH3R (race course).
New Weapons: Reclaimer 18 shotgun (Battle Pass unlock), Sledgehammer melee weapon (Week 5 Challenges).
New Aftermarket Parts: JAK Volkh (Week 6), JAK Gunslinger (Week 7).
New Modes: Mutation, Bit Party, Havoc, Headshots Only, Blueprint Gunfight.
New Events: Altered Strain, Retro Warfare, Vacation Squad, Vortex: Death’s Grip.
Beyond new content, the update addresses numerous bug fixes, balance adjustments across various weapons (including nerfs to the Kar98k and buffs to several SMGs and rifles), and improvements to progression and user interface. Detailed weapon adjustments are listed in the original patch notes. Warzone also receives updates, primarily focused on new events, map alterations (Popov Power Meltdown in Urzikstan), a new Mutation Resurgence mode, and weapon balance changes mirroring those in Modern Warfare 3. Specific changes to individual weapons and equipment are detailed in the original patch notes.
