Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude x The Sound Of Your Heart Is Probably The Most Hilarious Crossover Ever!

The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, which surpassed 1 million downloads shortly after its March release, is celebrating with a crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.

The Sound of Your Heart, a long-running Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok (with over 7 billion views and a Netflix adaptation), follows the comedic misadventures of Jo Seok and his eccentric family. The series concluded in July 2020.

The Crossover Event: Boomerang RPG Meets The Sound of Your Heart

This collaboration brings the beloved characters of The Sound of Your Heart into the Boomerang RPG universe. Players can team up with Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong (who's not afraid to unleash her fury!), his lovable father-in-law Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh, Jo Seok's friend who literally sheds petals when injured.

The event challenges players to rescue Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Completing this task adds them to the player's team. However, beware! Aebong's fearsome alter-ego, Dark Aebong, awaits as the final boss, boasting animations directly inspired by the webcomic's iconic scenes of her wrath.

The crossover characters are available for free through a 21-day attendance event. Limited-edition boomerangs, including a drumstick, golf club, hairdryer, and stylus, are also part of the festivities. A Token Event allows players to collect food-themed tokens (kimchi, tomato, noodles, chicken) and exchange them for unique magic effects or legendary boomerangs.
