FromSoftware confirmed the distribution of Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test confirmation emails on January 30th, 2025, via their Twitter (X) account. Excited fans quickly shared their confirmations, expressing anticipation for the upcoming playtest.

Selected participants will receive a follow-up email on February 11th, 2025, containing a unique code to download the test client for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The registration period, open from January 10th to 20th, 2025, has concluded, and FromSoftware hasn't announced additional test opportunities.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

FromSoftware describes the network test as a preliminary verification to assess online systems through large-scale load tests. This will help determine server capacity for simultaneous players. The test runs from February 14th to 16th, 2025, with five 3-hour sessions:

• Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
• Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
• Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
• Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
• Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT

Reports indicate a Steam-based scam involving fraudulent Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test invites. These links redirect users to malicious sites, potentially compromising accounts and spreading the scam via mass messaging. FromSoftware emphasizes that legitimate invitations are only distributed through their official website and social media channels.

Exploiting the excitement, scalpers are already listing purported "confirmed test codes" on various online marketplaces for exorbitant prices, ranging from $150 to $200, even before codes become available on February 11th.
