Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Author : Emery Update : Apr 16,2025

Attention, Sim enthusiasts: brace yourselves, as the notorious Burglar is making a grand return in the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on both PC and console, this update reintroduces the infamous Robin Banks, signaling you to secure your valuables before nightfall. Known for her stealthy nocturnal visits when your Sims are asleep, she's also bold enough to attempt a heist even when they're awake, so stay vigilant.

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can equip a burglar alarm. Should Robin trigger it, rest assured the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Homes without alarms aren't defenseless; a prompt call to the police can still save the day. Alternatively, if you're feeling daring, consider taking matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While burglar encounters are relatively rare, thrill-seekers can increase their chances by enabling the Lot Challenge: Heist Havoc.

The Sims team expressed their excitement about this update, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old and the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary, the game continues to attract new players. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4—initially a premium title—took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, upon going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible influx of 31 million new players, reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await the next installment, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5.
