Bandai Namco Announces Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS
Bandai Namco confirms the closure of its popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.
Shutdown Date and Final Events:
The game, launched in 2017, will officially shut down on December 9th, 2024. Players can enjoy several upcoming events before the end:
- Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
- All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
- ‘Thanks For Everything’ Campaign: November 1st - December 1st
Players can continue collecting cards, summoning, and using in-game items until the final day. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's decline appears linked to several factors:
- Power Creep: The introduction of Minato Namikaze and subsequent characters significantly shifted the game's balance, frustrating many players.
- Pay-to-Win: Increasingly prominent pay-to-win elements alienated free-to-play players.
- Reduced Rewards and Multiplayer: Decreased free rewards and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features contributed to player attrition.
The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to play before its closure. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Wings of Heroes' latest update.
