Application Description

CPU-Z is a highly useful application designed to provide detailed information about your Android device. As the Android version of the renowned CPU identification tool for PCs, CPU-Z offers a comprehensive suite of features for free, making it an essential tool for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.

With CPU-Z, you can access in-depth details about your device, including:

  • SoC (System On Chip) specifics such as name, architecture, and clock speed for each core;
  • System information encompassing device brand & model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage;
  • Battery insights like level, status, temperature, and capacity;
  • Details about your device's sensors.

To use CPU-Z, your device must run on Android 2.2 or a higher version, starting from CPU-Z version 1.03. The application requires certain permissions to function optimally:

  • INTERNET permission for the online validation feature, which is crucial for storing your device's hardware specifications in a database. Upon validation, CPU-Z will open your validation URL in your current internet browser. Optionally, you can provide your email to receive a reminder link;
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission to gather network statistics.

Starting from version 1.04, the online validation feature enhances the user experience by allowing you to keep a record of your device's hardware specs. If CPU-Z encounters a bug and closes unexpectedly, the settings screen will appear on the next launch. This screen allows you to disable certain detection features, potentially stabilizing the application's performance.

In the event of a bug, you can send a detailed report by selecting "Send Debug Infos" from the application menu. For additional support, you can visit the FAQ page at http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z-android.html#faq.
