Upcoming Pokemon GO Event Adding 2 New Paldean Pokemon

Summary

Shroodle and Grafaiai, Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, debut in Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over event, starting January 15th.
A special research quest to rescue Shadow Palkia and increased Shadow Pokémon encounters are also featured.

Niantic has announced the arrival of Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai, in Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over event, beginning January 15th. This event will not only introduce these Gen IX Pokémon but also offer various bonuses and raid challenges.

Shroodle, a Poison/Normal-type Pokémon with distinctive large eyes, and its evolution Grafaiai, a lemur-like primate, were originally introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Both have also appeared in Pokémon Horizons.

The Fashion Week: Taken Over event runs from January 15th, 12:00 AM to January 19th, 8:00 PM local time. Shroodle will hatch from 12km eggs, evolving into Grafaiai with 50 Shroodle Candy. Team GO Rocket will be more active in balloons and at PokéStops, and a Charged TM can be used to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. Snapshot encounters with a fashionably dressed Croagunk will also be possible.

When: Wednesday, January 15th, 12:00 AM – Sunday, January 19th, 8:00 PM (local time) New Pokémon: Shroodle (12 km Eggs), Grafaiai (evolves from Shroodle with 50 Candy) Surprise Encounters: Croagunk (Fashion Week outfit, via snapshots)

Event Bonuses:

Increased Team GO Rocket appearances at PokéStops and in balloons.
Charged TMs can remove the Frustration attack from Shadow Pokémon.

A new Special Research will allow players to rescue Shadow Palkia. Six new Shadow Pokémon, including Unova starters, will appear. Seven Shadow Pokémon will be featured in Shadow Raids, with Remote Raid Passes usable for the first time in these raids. New Field Research tasks will offer Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Event-themed Showcases and Collection Challenges will be available. The in-game shop will offer a bundle containing an Incubator, Rocket Radar, and Premium Battle Pass for 300 coins.

Further Pokémon GO events include the debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line on January 21st, a Shadow Raid Day, and a Classic Community Day featuring Ralts on January 25th.
