Spider-Man Animated Series on Disney+ Already Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3
Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half of the animatics already finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. Season 3 has also been greenlit.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters... we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off... it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's plot, he offered no release dates for either Season 2 or 3.
The series follows Peter Parker's high school journey as he develops his superpowers. Whether subsequent seasons will chronologically follow Peter's sophomore and junior years, or explore alternate storylines within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
