How To Get Paradisan Ladder in Avowed
There are five primary methods for acquiring Paradisan Ladder in Avowed: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging while exploring, earning it as a side quest reward, breaking down existing items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
Merylin the Merchant

Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers the fastest and most reliable way to obtain Paradisan Ladder. She typically stocks five units at 150 coins each. She also sells the Many-Hued Doublet and the Common Grimoire of Elements, both of which yield additional Paradisan Ladder when broken down (two units each). Note that her inventory doesn't seem to replenish after selling out.
Find Paradisan Ladder When Exploring in the Wild & in Cities

Paradisan Ladder plants appear throughout the world, both in wilderness areas and occasionally in cities like Paradise. The plant icon on your mini-map (red circle in image) indicates their location. While other plants may resemble Paradisan Ladder, actively searching your immediate surroundings while completing quests provides a steady, free supply.
Side Quests
Avowed's difficulty curve encourages players to undertake side quests, many of which reward Paradisan Ladder. For instance, the early quest "Escape Plan" often yields several units. Completing these quests offers a supplementary method of acquiring Paradisan Ladder while gaining experience and other rewards.
Breaking Down Items
Avowed allows you to break down items at a workbench to recover their constituent materials. This includes Paradisan Ladder from items previously upgraded with it. For example, dismantling a Common Sword upgraded with Paradisan Ladder will return some of the herb. Check merchant inventories for unique items with Paradisan Ladder listed in their breakdown details.
Downgrading Hylea’s Talon Into Paradisan Ladder

Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each unit into three Paradisan Ladder at a workbench. Navigate to the "Crafting" tab, then the "Downgrade" section under "Upgrade Materials." This is particularly useful for quickly upgrading a new weapon type if you've already established a preferred build.
Now that you know how to acquire Paradisan Ladder, explore the Avowed timeline in relation to Pillars of Eternity and check whether Avowed features multiplayer or remains a single-player experience.
