⚫︎ Marvel Rivals has announced that with the successful launch of Season 1, the game will now introduce a new hero every 6 weeks. Each season, spanning 2 months, will feature two new heroes for the community to enjoy. Season 1 is a special case, having released two heroes in each half: Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by Human Torch and the Thing in the second.

⚫︎ The developers of Marvel Rivals have prohibited the use of mods in the game, where players were uploading custom skins for online play. Despite this 'mod ban,' the modding community has persisted, finding ways to implement mods through extra steps.

⚫︎ With the launch of Season 1, which introduced the Fantastic Four, Marvel Rivals achieved a new peak player count, surpassing 600,000 players.

⚫︎ Marvel Rivals conducted a large-scale ban to remove cheaters from the game. Unfortunately, this also affected innocent players using non-Windows operating systems like Linux or Steam Deck. The developers quickly reversed these bans and issued apologies to the affected players.

⚫︎ While Marvel Rivals enjoyed massive success, its competitor, Overwatch 2, saw its player count on Steam drop to a reported low of less than 17,000 players, compared to Marvel Rivals' consistent numbers above 200,000.

⚫︎ Marvel Rivals and Path of Exile 2, both released around the same time, took the gaming world by storm. Marvel Rivals reached a peak concurrent player count of over 480,000, while Path of Exile 2 surpassed 570,000 players.
