Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless other titles, has shared a moving message of gratitude following a serious health scare. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room, where he was attending a benefit event for the National Alzheimer's Association.

A video posted on a GoFundMe page—which has already raised an astounding $174,653 to cover his medical expenses and other bills—reveals that Johnson was in a coma. "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you," he shared emotionally.

The incident unfolded after Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, arrived in Atlanta. When he failed to appear at the scheduled event, his wife, Kim Johnson, contacted the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs responded, finding him with a barely detectable pulse.

"Rumors of my demise were not exaggerated," Johnson admitted. "It was very close, very close. But I'm still here." He credits his wife's quick thinking, along with his son's actions in contacting security, for saving his life. He was subsequently hospitalized and placed in a medically induced coma for five days. It was during this time that he learned of the GoFundMe campaign organized by his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and his wife Kim.

Johnson expressed deep appreciation to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family during this difficult time, providing them with travel and accommodation. He also extended heartfelt thanks to Ted Leonsis, chairman of the Washington Capitals parent company, for a generous $25,000 donation. He singled out Glasser and Elliker for their exceptional efforts.

Bethesda's public show of support also deeply touched Johnson. "You say that I'm your friend. I am," he stated. "Always will be. Love you guys." He concluded with a message of gratitude to his fans, both those who donated and those who offered their support in other ways. "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere," he affirmed. "It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing you all then. Cheers."

Johnson's extensive career includes numerous film and television roles, but he is perhaps best known for his prolific voice acting work in Bethesda games. His memorable roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
