The BoL mechanic, unique to certain Fontaine characters, functions as a reverse shield, depleting instead of increasing upon healing. This visual cue should greatly assist players in managing Arlecchino's Pyro infusion passive, triggered by specific BoL thresholds. The mechanic is similar to Natlan's Nightsoul system.
