Anno 117: Pax Romana Trailer Released Roman Empire Expansion Gameplay

Ubisoft Mainz has unveiled a new trailer showcasing Anno 1800's successor, Anno 117: Pax Romana, offering a glimpse into its gameplay. While previously announced as featuring Lazio and Albion, the trailer reveals Lazio serves as a tutorial area before players embark on the main game set in Albion.

Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts peacefully, but a catastrophic event forces players to explore the challenging lands of Britain (Albion). Albion presents harsh weather, rebellious tribes, and its geographical distance from Rome poses significant governance challenges.

Players govern Albion, facing these obstacles through diplomacy and strategic choices rather than solely military might. Respecting local customs is key to success. A unique feature is the customizable ships, allowing players to choose between speed enhancements with oarsmen or increased firepower with archery turrets.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is scheduled for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
