The Last of Us Will Probably Run for 4 Seasons, HBO Exec Says
HBO executive Francesca Orsi hints that the critically acclaimed The Last of Us series will span four seasons. While emphasizing that no formal plan is finalized, Orsi stated to Deadline that a four-season run is the current projection: "It's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this, and we're done."
Regarding Season 2, premiering in April 2025, Orsi teased intriguing new factions: "There's certain elements in terms of the various factions that are competing for survival that reveal themselves as a really intriguing survivalist group... they have a quality to them that feels distinct in how they present it," she said, highlighting unique wardrobe and makeup choices.
