Haunting Armor Unveiled for Destiny 2

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a chilling choice in the upcoming Festival of the Lost 2025 event. Bungie has unveiled two new armor sets, "Slashers" and "Spectres," inspired by iconic horror figures, and is letting players vote to decide which set will be available. The Slashers set features Jason Voorhees (Titan), Ghostface (Hunter), and a Scarecrow Warlock, while the Spectres set offers Babadook (Titan), La Llorona (Hunter), and Slenderman (Warlock) inspired armor.

This announcement, however, comes amidst growing player frustration. Episode Revenant, the current season, has been plagued by bugs and glitches, impacting core gameplay mechanics like the tonic brewing system. These issues, coupled with a reported decline in player engagement and numbers, have left a segment of the community feeling unheard. The focus on a Halloween event ten months away has only amplified these concerns, with many players hoping for a more direct address of the game's current state.

While the new armor sets are generating excitement, the timing of the announcement and the ongoing technical problems highlight a disconnect between Bungie and a portion of its player base. The upcoming vote, while fun, serves as a backdrop to a larger conversation about the health and future of Destiny 2. The return of the previously unavailable Wizard armor from the 2024 Festival of the Lost is also confirmed for Episode Heresy.
